Laura Campbell Joins Board of Trustees of Franklin Road Academy

Laura Campbell has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Franklin Road Academy, a pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, coeducational independent school. Franklin Road Academy provides a challenging educational experience in an inclusive Christian environment with an unwavering commitment to develop leaders of integrity and purpose.

Ms. Campbell has been a very steady and positive voice for FRA over the years. She was part of the parent interview panel for the Head of School and served as a member of the Board of Trustees Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee. Ms. Campbell has more than two decades of experience launching and growing businesses−as an entrepreneur, a venture capitalist, a strategist and a corporate communicator for both public and private companies. She has served as President & CEO of Laura Campbell & Associates since the business growth advisory firm’s inception in 1997.

During her career, Laura has assisted more than 250 new ventures and existing businesses in their growth and development. Prior to her work with Laura Campbell & Associates, Ms. Campbell founded the Nashville Health Care Council, was a partner at Massey Burch Capital Corporation and directed investor relations, marketing, and public relations for Wessex Corporation. Some of the many boards she has served are Nashville Society of Financial Analysts, Vanderbilt University Health Care Management Programs and Belmont University Center for Entrepreneurship Women’s Programs. She was selected as a top “40 under 40” by the Tennessean and Business Nashville. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rice University where she was a Board of Governors Scholar.

Ms. Campbell’s strengths lie in her ability to help businesses identify, articulate and implement their often cutting edge visions. She is known for her organizational abilities with an eye on the big picture, as well as her solid grounding in the financial realities and details of new business development and existing business management. Her selection as a member of the parent group that interviewed Head of School candidates as well as her contributions to the Strategic Planning Committee, show her dedication of time and talent to FRA. Through her business and leadership background, she has developed strengths and skills that will be valuable assets to the continued development of the FRA Board of Trustees.
