Impact Cryotherapy Adds Ella Stimpson, Nationally Recognized Spa Expert to its Advisory Board

Impact Cryotherapy announced today that Ella Stimpson, Spa Director of the renowned Spa at Sea Island, has joined its National Advisory Board. Impact Cryotherapy leads the nation in designing and manufacturing whole body cryotherapy systems that are made in the U.S.A.

Stimpson oversees all aspects of the iconic Georgia resort’s prestigious 65,000 square-foot Spa at Sea Island, which has received the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star award for six consecutive years and was recently named the #4 Spa in the Continental U.S. in Travel + Leisure Readers’ Choice Awards. Prior to Sea Island, she was Executive Director of Spa Operations for Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, the first casino spa to be awarded a Forbes Five-Star rating. Stimpson has also had the honor of serving as Chairman of the International Spa Association (ISPA) from 2011 to 2013, where she continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Stimpson began her career at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, which earned a Five-Star rating under her leadership.

Impact Cryotherapy Announces Sports Medicine Leader James R. Andrews, M.D. as Chair of New National Advisory Board

Impact Cryotherapy announced today that James R. Andrews, M.D., a globally recognized leader in sports medicine and orthopaedics, will chair its new National Advisory Board, and that Troy C. Van Biezen, D.C., A.R.T. and J. Melvin Deese, Jr., M.D. will join the Board. Impact Cryotherapy is the national leader in designing and manufacturing whole body cryotherapy systems.

“The National Advisory Board will provide guidance and direction on matters related to Impact Cryotherapy’s whole body cryotherapy systems,” says Richard E. Dr. Andrews co-founded the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI), a non-profit institute dedicated to injury prevention, education and research in orthopaedic and sports medicine, and serves as its Chairman of the Board and Medical Director. He was a founding member of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as a founding partner and Medical Director of the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is President and Chairman of the Board of the Andrews Research and Education Foundation, also dedicated to prevention, education and research at the Andrews Institute. He has mentored more than 314 orthopaedic/sports medicine Fellows and more than 84 primary care sports medicine Fellows who have trained under him through these Sports Medicine Fellowship Programs.

In the professional sports arena, Dr. Andrews is Senior Consultant for the Washington Redskins Professional Football Team and Orthopaedic Medical Director for the Tampa Bay Rays Professional Baseball Team. He is also the Medical Director of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, as well as on the Medical and Safety Advisory Committee of USA Baseball and the Board of Little League Baseball, Inc. Dr. Andrews serves as Medical Director and Orthopaedic Surgeon for Auburn University Intercollegiate Athletics and Senior Orthopaedic Consultant at the University of Alabama. He is recognized throughout the world for his scientific and clinical research contributions in knee, shoulder and elbow injuries, as well as his skill as an orthopaedic surgeon.

Dr. Van Biezen is the founder of ChiroSport Specialists of Dallas, Texas. Dr. Van Biezen’s extensive knowledge, combined with his experience as a professional athlete, provides his patients with the most comprehensive and integrative approach to evaluating, treating and rehabilitating from injuries and improvements in sports performance. He is the founder of Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery and has extensive experience in treating sports injuries and rehabilitations.
